Anaesthesia and Critical Care
Anaesthetists within the OUGSG are involved in a range of research activities with particular interests in:
- Anaesthesia workforce training and education
- Interactions between anaesthesia professionals of all cadres (task-sharing)
- Surgery and anaesthesia in humanitarian settings
- Improving access to training using mobile devices (the LIFE project, a Kenya-Oxford collaboration hosted by the Oxford Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health)

Critical care interests are led by Dr Eamon Raith (visiting researcher with the OGSG) and include:
- Trauma, surgical and obstetric critical care
- Neurocritical care in the low-resource setting
- Public health aspects of critical care medicine
- Reducing global inequity of access to critical care medicine
