Support the Oxford University Global Surgery Group
Oxford Global Surgery Course participants and faculty
Around the world, there is massive inequity in the access to safe, affordable surgical and anaesthetic care.
Oxford University Global Surgery Group is a multidisciplinary group of clinicians and researchers from across the Medical Sciences Division working together to contribute to the provision of high quality surgical, anaesthetic and obstetric care globally, particularly in low and middle income countries (LMICs). Our vision is for safe surgery to be accessible to all.
We advocate for global equity in surgery, obstetrics and anaesthesia, and we work with and support partners in LMICs who are engaged in clinical, educational and research activities in surgery, obstetrics and anaesthesia. We annually run a short course to introduce clinicians, researchers and policymakers to Global Surgery, with faculty and delegates from around the world, for which we offer bursaries to those from LMICs. Find out more about the Global Surgery Course.
Your gift will support us in these core activities, for example in funding bursaries for doctors from low-income settings to visit Oxford for global surgery collaboration and training, or to develop global surgery partnership projects.
If you would like to donate to support the Oxford University Global Surgery Group, you can do so below. We are grateful to everyone who enables us to continue and develop initiatives to serve those who need surgery worldwide. Thank you for your support!
